The UGREEN 70498 (CM300) external hard drive enclosure is a sleek, durable solution for turning a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD into a portable USB-C drive. Constructed from premium aluminum alloy, its body not only protects your drive but also provides efficient heat dissipation. Inside, soft EVA foam cushions your SATA drive to prevent vibration and scratches during use. The enclosure supports SATA III with transfer speeds up to 6 Gbps, and leverages the ASM235CM chipset along with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) for improved performance and responsiveness. It also features a smart auto sleep mode that powers down the drive after about three minutes of inactivity, helping to conserve energy and prolong drive life. You get plug-and-play convenience with no drivers needed, and a bright LED indicator to show drive status. The package includes a 50 cm USB-A to USB-C cable. Note that only 2.5″ SATA drives are supported (no 3.5″ or IDE drives), and for USB-C to USB-C connection you’ll need to use your own compatible cable.
